How to use the Dice Roller

Is an online dice roller fair?
Yes. Every roll uses the Web Crypto API built into your browser, the same source of randomness used to create passwords and encryption keys. Each face has exactly the same chance of landing, and the result is decided before the animation starts, so the animation cannot influence it. Physical dice, by comparison, can be slightly unbalanced by rounded edges or drilled pips.
Which dice do games use?
Most family board games, such as Monopoly, Ludo and Yahtzee, use six-sided dice (D6). Tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons use a full set of polyhedral dice: D4, D6, D8, D10, D12 and D20, with two D10s or a D100 for percentile rolls. You can switch between them here with one click.
