Will the timer work in a background tab?
Yes. The timer works out the exact moment it should end, so it stays accurate even when you switch tabs and your browser slows the page down. The remaining time is also shown in the tab title, so you can keep an eye on it while you work in another tab. Keep the tab open and your volume on to hear the alarm.
Popular timer lengths
Five minutes is ideal for tea, short breaks and quick exercises. Twenty-five minutes is the classic Pomodoro focus session, usually followed by a five-minute break. Longer timers of 30 or 60 minutes suit exams, meetings and baking. Use the presets for these, or type any other length.
